for the Questa Club project :)

outdoor learning experience :)

here are some recounts of the sengkang floating wetlands excursion we had.
we were extremely excited as it was our first time going to wetlands to learn about them.
here are some breath-taking pictures of how the wetlands look like!

we had a water testing activity while we were there, where we were supposed to test the water at the wetlands for its Colour, Turbidity and measure the Temperature, dissolved oxygen and pH of the water. Sadly, we didn't get a chance to measure the salinity of the wetland's water.
it was really interesting as i have never tested water for its quality before!

In this outdoor classroom learning experience, we realised that we ought to listen more carefully to the teacher-in-charge explaining each activity as some of our classmates got some steps of the experiments wrong. We may be too busy taking a look around, or copying down notes. Some of our classmates did not pay much attention to the timing and exceeded the time frame for some activities, resulting in getting the class held up waiting for everyone to gather together.
In a nutshell, we learned that water is an extremely precious resource and we ought not waste it. we should all do our part and help to conserve water for future generations.

here is the booklet given to us to complete our activities!
